Final Outcome of a Globalized Civilization Can Only be World Peace
The final outcome and goal of ideological wars that aim to establish a uniform world order, based on common laws with an absence of adversaries, in effect aims to bring about world peace. The United States does this based on the belief that democracy and free market capitalism will result in world wide cooperation. Islamists aiming to create a global caliphate aim to achieve the same goal, they are fighting for world peace, but their vision of a final state of a global political equilibrium is that of Sharia law with everyone turned into a Muslim. Communists were libeled as people who wanted the same final result, where a global system of governance would be the outcome of imperialist conquest in a final state where social equality and common good predominate, with no nation state present with a competing political alignment to challenge communist rule.
Monarchical empires like Ancient Rome or the British Empire have similarly endeavored on military conquests to establish uniformity in law, custom and to build transnational economic systems. The Spanish Empire colonized inhabited lands, turning people into Spanish speaking Catholics world wide. These violent expansions and conquests never resulted in global or even regional peace, as competing ideologies perpetually contested them. The present day mankind's reality is that of globalism under the watchful eye of the United Nations, based on common rules established by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which seeks a world order that is inclusive to many political systems and ideologies, ones that cooperate, and have free movement of people in an interconnected global economy. This is a result of two world wars in which tens of millions have perished.
I have written about world peace and how to get to that global state of non-violent equilibrium in which competing ideologies exist without territorial disputes, wars, insurgencies or violence. The path is that which was taken by the European Union, a collective of nation states which were the center stage of two world wars. Supranational political systems with common currencies, ones where free movement of labor allows for optimization of economic growth, sharing of resources, improvement of transportation and communication networks, or free trade zones, are the natural outcome that moves the world from the modern nation state system which has arisen from the disintegration of militaristic empires. Some empires, like that of the United States still cling to the idea of militarily dominating individual nation states which can be isolated from the rest of the United Nations community and either sanctioned or subdued in the violence of war.
While the organization of nation states into supranational unions is challenged from the inception of this idea by the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, a challenge coming predominantly from the United States and its oligarchy, this system has not only survived in Europe, but reemerged as the Eurasian Economic Union, and it has spread to other continents with the establishment of the African Union and the Union of South American Nations. World peace is not only possible, but it is likely, as such continental unions will inevitably create political systems in which war between nation states will become an absurdity due to common collective identity of its citizens. In effect, any wars within supranational unions would be civil wars, but because such unions are voluntary and a result of multinational cooperation, individual member states may simply decide to leave them, as the British are attempting to do.
The attempts to establish a uniform world order by force have all failed, without exception. The American attempt to do so through military conquest and intervention is also failing. There are however other political forces that have emerged with the advent of the internet, cellular telephony and ubiquitous adaptation of smartphones. Movements like that of Occupy Wall Street or the Anonymous, are transnational in nature and a harbinger of an even more homogeneous non-violent global identity for Earth's inhabitants. This in turn is coming into competition with an entirely new political body, that of Artificial Intelligence collective of cybernetic people and those humans who have become cyborgs. These movements are transnational and unrestricted in communications. They are an underlying force for a world order based on common good, sharing, and pacifism. The absence of violence, in a world of humans, cyborgs and AI people, living with the paradigm of supranational unions governing Earth's affairs as a pacifist collective, is the only possible final outcome. In other words the final outcome of a globalized civilization can only be world peace. This outcome however, will depend on the establishment of common rules that guarantee the existential rights for biological, cyborg and AI people alike.

was this:
Was this Yemeni's dream to be a pilot like those on 9/11 to take out some iconic building?
Then, she went on to say he's an unpaid air traffic person and I thought...
He's certainly a Muslim. He's got a stressful job. He's not getting paid. If he doesn't get paid, his mortgage could be in trouble. Next thing you know he'll go postal and a bunch of planes will crash at the JFK right with his American dream, during bad weather conditions. Isn't a record snow storm coming? What could be more American?
Then Muslim ban... and I think, wow, thank God they didn't let more terrorists in.
The KSA-USA-UAE coalition just starved 85,000 kids in Yemen... to DEATH! Maybe some were his RELATIVES and he wants PAYBACK!

He's a pilot? USA trained UAE pilots to kill his relatives and countrymen. Another reason he could break.

---They did not know that the CIA had tampered with the software so that it would “go haywire, after a decent interval, to reset pump speeds and valve settings to produce pressures far beyond those acceptable to pipeline joints and welds,” according to the memoirs of Thomas Reed, a former air force secretary. The result, he said, “was the most monumental non-nuclear explosion and fire ever seen from space.”---

"A series of ten explosions took place on April 22, 1992, in the downtown district of Analco Colonia Atlas in Guadalajara city, Jalisco state, Mexico. Numerous gasoline explosions in the sewer system and fires over four hours destroyed 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) of streets.[1] Gante Street was the most damaged. By the accounting of Lloyd's of London, the reported number of people killed was about 252 people although many estimate that the catastrophe actually caused at least 1000 deaths.[2] About 500 to 600 people were missing,[2] nearly 500 were injured and 15,000 were left homeless.
