UN security council members (and others) should reduce military spending by 10% by appropriating this amount to a joint effort to move humanity forward in a number of big projects, similar in scope and shortness of schedule to the Manhattan Project or the Apollo program. Panspermia is interstellar. Using a comet to go from one star system to another is a viable means of transportation... provided you live long enough, have a multi-generation spaceship or use robotics. Humans using icebergs to populate islands of the Pacific ocean would be an analogous method to this interstellar travel using such comets. Primitive... opportunist...
