How fast will the sea level rise? Much faster now.
Factors that accelerate polar and Greenland ice melt:
1. Arctic methane release, 50 Giga tons. The release has begun.
2. Fires. The 2018 wildfire season involves wildfires on multiple continents.
3. Energy related global greenhouse gas emissions rising. Even if they don't rise, they will still accumulate at over 35 gigatons per year from energy use alone.
4. Arctic amplification.
5. Accelerating melt of Antarctica since 1992 can take a nose dive.

6. Reduction of biomass carbon capture due to mass extinction.
7. Existing greenhouse gas concentrations will bring about global warming that will result in 10 meters to 20 meters of sea level rise. This is now certain. However, there are inflection points for ice melting, for instance temperature of 0 degrees Celsius must be reached for it to start to melt. A global inflection point may not have been reached yet as the Earth warms, thus when it is reached, ice could suddenly melt much faster. Present sea level rise is only 0.086 m, out of the certain 10 to 20 m.
8. Temperatures over 10 degrees Celsius can melt 10 cm of snow in 3 days. Arctic now exhibits 15 degree Celsius winter temperatures. Greenland glaciers will melt year round as temperatures rise, and they don't melt only on the surface, but underneath as well. They also calf and as pieces fall into the ocean these melt faster and immediately impact sea level rise. If they melt at a rate of 10 cm per day year round, it will take 55 years for all the ice to melt from that point alone... not accounting for the fact that ice melts from underneath or that it calfs. Antarctic is also getting warmer across the entire landmass and will reach a point of inflection. This means that Greenland melt alone with existing emissions in the atmosphere can result in 1.2 meter sea level rise per decade... not accounting for point 1 to 6 or the Antarctic melt.

“The physical evidence from Tall el-Hammam and neighbouring sites exhibit signs of a highly destructive concussive and thermal event that one might expect from what is described in Genesis 19.
“The soil/ash samples gathered from Tall el-Hammam contain evidence of topsoil destruction and subsoil contamination with Dead Sea salts that would have prevented the cultivation of crops for many centuries following the event.”
